Michael has been working for Pillar out of OVR for the last 5 years. He’s a polyglot at heart and will not shy away from learning a new language -- natural or programming (though natural languages take significantly longer to pick up). His educational background and research interests revolve around Artificial Intelligence (concept learning, classification, and natural language processing). Other areas of interest (that he still has much to learn about) are big data, distributed computing, second language acquisition, and linguistics. Programming languages that have recently piqued his interest are Scala, Swift, and Rust.
